On December 1st, 2009, over 100 patrons came out to celebrate high spirits and high art at our 1st Annual "Battle of the Bowls" fundraiser and auction. For the event, over 45 regional artists transformed a plain ceramic bowl into a one-of-a-kind piece of art, which was sold to the highest bidder in both silent and live auctions. The submissions were fabulous and the event was a resounding success.

Thank you to our participating artists for going above and beyond the call of duty with your fantastic submissions. We were stunned by the quality and craftsmanship of every piece. All of you stayed true to your style and helped us to create a wonderfully diverse collection of bowls. We appreciate your taking a chance on us, and (for many) stepping outside your comfort zone to take on the challenge!

Another thank you is in order for the organizations and businesses that donated items for the silent auction. We ended up with some fabulous packages that really helped to put the silent auction numbers over the top. Your participation contributed greatly to the success of the fundraiser.

Stay tuned as we will be posting more information soon on the 2010 "Battle of the Bowls", which if this year is any indication will be even bigger and better next year.
