Thank you to all who attended the 3rd Annual Battle of the Bowls Auction and Fundraiser! The event was a great success. Special thanks must be given to all of our participating artists and businesses for your donations. Please check back soon as we will be posting information about our 2012 Winter Fundraiser soon.

Now in its third year, “Battle of the Bowls” is an artistic showcase where selected artists create unique works of art in the form of a simple vessel, the bowl. Each piece is sold to the highest bidder in both live and silent auctions. Proceeds from this event benefit PAA exhibitions and programs. In addition to being a lively social function, the auction is an opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind, memorable holiday gifts. To date, we have confirmed nearly 40 artists working in every imaginable medium: from painters and ceramicists to industrial designers and mixed-media sculptors, many of whom have shown their work in major art institutions both nationally and internationally. Additionally, PAA will auction off exclusive packages donated by local businesses and cultural organizations, which include meals, entertainment, jewelry, gift certificates and much more. Each package is artfully paired with vessels donated by such fine craft retailers as Caleb Meyer in Chestnut Hill and Calderwood Gallery in Center City.
