At Liberty:
Creativity, Citizenship, and the First Amendment
An Interdisciplinary Social Studies and Art Curriculum About Free Speech
At Liberty is set of five lessons that teach students about the First
Amendment in relation to art.
In addition to lesson plans, At Liberty includes student handouts, a glossary, additional online resources, and an analysis of how the curriculum fits academic standards as required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. It is designed to be both thorough and user-friendly for teachers and for students.
The Philadelphia Art Alliance is excited about this educational initiative and the way it shows the connection between citizenship and artistic expression.
